ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR ADMISSIONS

1. All shortlisted candidates should present themselves on the day(s) specified in the admission notification for verification of certificates and payment of fees. Failure to report on these days will lead to the cancellation of seat and the seat will be given to the next eligible candidate.
2. Provisional admission will be confirmed only on production of the original certificates mentioned below on or before 31 July 2017. Failure to submit these certificates by the mentioned date will lead to cancellation of admission automatically.
3. Admission letters will be issued only after the verification of certificates and the payment of fees. Admission letters will not be emailed or individually sent to candidates. They have to be collected by hand/in person from the office of the Controller of Examinations.
4. In case the admission is cancelled by the University for any reason or the student after the commencement of the programme, the registration fee, library fee, medical facility fee will be refunded provided there are no “No Dues” pending.
5. In case the admission is cancelled by the candidate before the commencement of the programme, all fees except the registration fee will be refunded, provided there are no dues pending.
6. IF THE CANDIDATE’S NAME FEATURES IN ANY ENQUIRY OR DISCIPLINARY MEASURES OR ANY VIOLATION OF RULES AT THE UNIVERSITY OR ELSEWHERE, THE CANDIDATE’S ADMISSION WILL BE CANELLED.
7. If case of a tie in the entrance test scores, seat will be offered on the basis of higher marks in the qualifying examination depending on the number of seats available in each category.In case of non-availability of the marks in the qualifying examination, the marks obtained in the examination prior to the qualifying examination will be considered in deciding the merit.
8. Names of candidates will figure only once in merit/reserved list.
9. If the names of candidates belonging to OBC/SC/ST/PWD/WDP occur in the Unreserved list, they will be given admission only in the ‘Unreserved List’ and cannot claim seats under the reservation quota.
10. No transfer will be allowed from one campus to another campus of the University under any circumstances.
11. The following certificates will have to be submitted in original at the time of admission for verification.
(i). EFL University entrance test 2017 admit pass or confirmation email sent by the university
(ii) Date of Birth Certificate (SSC / CBSE/ICCSE/Class 10 certificate)
(iii) Intermediate Certificate, OR +2 Certificate
(iv) Graduation Certificate and Marks Memos (wherever and as applicable)
(v) Post graduation Certificate and Marks Memos (wherever and as applicable)
(vi) Transfer Certificate
(vii) Migration Certificate if the candidate is coming from another university
(viii) Community Certificate (in the case of SC/ST/OBC candidates) as per the GOI rules announced from time to time
(ix) Latest (as on March 2017) Income Certificate from the Competent Authority, if they wish to apply for any Scholarship/fee concession. (in the case of SC/ST/OBC candidates)
(x) Medical Certificate (in the case of VHC/HHI/PHC candidates)
(xi) Two recent passport size colour photos
(xii) Originals of Pension Order, Discharge Certificate and Identity Card in case of WDP candidates
(xiii) Filled in Annexure I - Letter of Undertaking
(xiv) Filled in Annexure II Affidavit by the Student about Anti Ragging (to be downloaded from the University website)
(xv) Filled in Annexure III Affidavit by the Parent/Guardian about Anti Ragging (to be downloaded from the University website).
(xvi) Filled in Annexure IV Bond for Provisional Admissions for candidates who have appeared in the qualifying examination and are awaiting their results (to be downloaded from the University website)
(xvii) Along with Annexures II and III candidates are requested to proof of permanent address along with a valid ID proof from any one of the following
a) Passport
b) Aadhar Card
c) Voter ID
d) Phone number of parent/guardian is mandatory
(xviii) Filled in Annexure V to be submitted in the Proctor’s office.
(xix) Two sets of Xerox copies (with self-attestation) of all the above certificates
(xx) OBC Candidates
According to Central Educational Institutions Act 2007, only those OBCs who do not belong to the "creamy layer" are given the benefit of reservations. According to O.M.No. 36033/3/20904-Estt. (Res.), dated 09.03.2004, GOI Dept of Per. &Trg., sons and daughters of persons having a gross annual income of Rs. 6 lakhs or above are not eligible for OBC reservations. For details of castes which fall under backward classes please check the GOI website http://ncbn.nic.inlbackward-classesfindex.html.To get admission under the OBC category, you will have to produce an OBC certificate from an officer competent to issue such certificates, clearly stating that the annual income of your parents does not exceed 6 lakhs, as per the latest rules of GOI announced from time to time.
12. Hostel accommodation is not available to local candidates. Outstation candidates will be considered for shared accommodation subject to availability. If hostel seat is offered, the candidates should pay Mess Deposit as per hostel rules.

NOTE: EFL UNIVERSITY IS NOT A RESIDENTIAL UNIVERSITY. THEREFORE, ACCOMMODATION ON CAMPUS CANNOT BE GUARANTEED, AND WILL BE OFFERED AS PER AVAILABILITY WITH PRIORITY GIVEN TO NON-LOCAL CANDIDATES.

14. The supernumerary seats (i.e. VHC/PHC and WDP) will be given as per GOI norms (3% for PWD and 1% for WDP). Separate lists for supernumerary seats will be published.All the supernumerary categories should attend counseling on the date specified in the admission notification without fail.
15. Attention of the candidates is drawn to the clause mentioned in the Instructions for filling in the Application Form provided along with the Application Forms and is reproduced here: “If it is found that a candidate does not fulfill the minimum eligibility requirements, his/her candidature will not be considered for admission, and if admission is granted, it shall be cancelled summarily”.
